Principal harpist of the Sarasota Opera since 2002, Italian born Giuseppina Ciarla is a classical musician and a groundbreaking cross over performer combining her artistry of voice and harp in an eclectic mélange
ranging from jazz to sophisticated pop. Her authentic approach is rooted in classical training with vision to see new possibilities for popular classical as well as original compositions.
Ms. Ciarla's debut solo album A Ticket Home, showcasing her original songs and arrangements of iconic classics for harp and voice, was recorded during the 2020 pandemic and it is now available on all digital platforms and in physical format.
Ms. Ciarla has been selected as a finalists in the international Piazzolla Music Competition with her arrangements for solo harp of Oblivion and Libertango featured in her debut album A Ticket Home.
Ms. Ciarla sees all of humanity as one and performs with this intention.
The Ballad of Sacco and Vanzetti video will be released on YouTube on July 6, 2021 to commemorate the one year anniversary of the departure of Oscar winning Italian composer Ennio Morricone.
